Has He ever come to you and told you that he wants you to pray for him? Has He ever told you that He wants to be worshipped. Has HE? I believe no.

What is God? Funny how people can so easily ask questions that have answers like the untold.

Very well....here it is through my perspective.

Is ther Cold?
No...cold is what we call the lack of warmth.

Is there death?
No...death is what we call when there is lack of life.

Is there sadness?
No....sadness is what we call the lack of happiness.

Is there hate?
No...hate is what we call the lack of love.

So....has anone ever loved you?
Has anyone ever given you warmth?
Has anyone ever given you a beauty of life?
Has anyone ever given you happiness?

Well then, You know what....God is what we call the fulfillment of things that lack.

________

Cameo DiLain.

Oh yes...one more thing. You should love God....not worship him. Because when you worship something...then you make it superior to you. And making something that fulfills the lacking is like making a fish swim in snow.

If you get what I mean........

If God really does exist, He is Loving and does not want us to pray, but to love.

God does exist, he's beyond human understanding, he created everything including you and me, and he wants a relationship with us. Praying is simply having a conversation with God, I often just tell him what's going on in my life, not because he doesn't know but because he's interested. In order to know someone, you have to spend time with them in communication. Prayer can be a tool for healing (done it myself, or rather God has used me to heal) and for changing lives for good. He doesn't ask us to pray FOR him, but TO him.

A most interesting question, but I'm confused. where do you get the idea God wants us to pray FOR him? We pray TO God, hoping that he will answer our prayers. I believe from my personal experience, that he does. Sometimes the answer is no. As for what God is, read the King James version of the bible. I'm not preaching at you here, I'm just saying that you will find the answers to your questions there. However, remember that the Bible as ordered translated by King James contains some errors. You see, the language used by the court of king James was different than that of the common people. In example, we read that God said "thou shall not kill". But God actually said "thou shall not commit murder". Just food for thought.

Classical definition of God: A supreme being who is all knowing, all powerful, wholly good, completely free, the creator and sustainer of the universe, and worthy of worship.

...God has to be all of those things in order to be God.

Now...

Imagine you were God.

Which would you rather create:

1. A group of robots who worship you because they have been programmed that way.

OR

2. People who worship you because they choose to out of their own free will.

Obviously it's going to be more satisfying to be worshiped by those who have the choice not to worship you. That's why we have the choice of whether or not to believe in God...and pray for him as you put it.

You're all getting too hung up on gender. God must be male, or else we would have HERstory instead of HIStory, and we would be called womankind instead of mankind, and china would be killing all the male babies. Or maybe god is asexual with a prefrence to men. You can't argue with the facts. He/She wants us to pray to him/her because he can judge weather or not you spent enough of your little time on earth talking to him/her even if he/she never responds. It makes him/her feel powerful. And rightly so. He/she created the planet. Thats pretty cool.

How do WE know what he is? He's a god - that's it.

How do you know that he wants us to pray for him? Has he told you that? It's a question of faith - if you believe what your church teaches you, then pray; if you don't, don't.

No one ever said he wanted us to pray to him. He just wants us to live life.

He wants us to pray to him for OURSELVES! It's better for you to find the truth, accept it, thank who has given you, live a happy, good life, etc. It's better for yourself, God doesn't need it.
