I don't know about frighten exactly, but I really tend to disassociate myself (or get too close to) people that are emotionally unstable or flash moody.
I can handle bad moods or bad days, but when it shifts from moment to moment, it's like standing on shifting sand and you feel as if you're being abused.

people in gangs who wear their shorts down to their knees and carry a gun everywhere they go.
strangely, i am also frightened by people who are so happy and giddy all the time. i mean, don't they have some kind of unhappiness anywhere in their life? it freaks me out.
i am also VERY scared of clowns. ^_^

2. Wierd low-lives
3. EXTREME preps (the ones who can murder you with lip-gloss)

When i hear people saying horrible stuff about other 'friends' i feel like theyre doing about me too. Frightens me lol

Gangs cause of the gang mentality and knowing they may do things they would not normally do because of showing off and the gang mentality.Also I would say wangstas wanna be gangstas not really scarred but annoyed.
