"'I found in myself a constant love for my mother, and jealousy of my father. I now consider this to be a universal event in childhood,' Freud said."

sigmund freuds dream theory basically says that dreams are the guardian of sleep. the dreams protect us from disturbances from the outside like external stimuli and also internal stimulation from emotions. Freud focused on the internal stimuli and he said that emotions that are very negative are covered up in the dream because if they were not disguised they will be so disturbing or unpleasant that the sleeper will wake up (the dream helps to keep the person asleep by protecting them from emotions/fears that can possibly wake them up). these forbidden thoughts are what freud was trying to study in order to interpret a persons dream and learn about their problems etc. So by studying the dream, you are studying the persons inner desires, wishes whether they are good or bad and hence you learn about the person.

He was a DEFIANT Victorian, but a Victorian all the same.
He was Viennese too. Thus, he dreamed about sausage, but felt weird about it.

Great question. I imagine he had dreams like everyone else, family, friends, girls, sex, and maybe a few nightmares.
