There are far more movies and comics about vampires than werewolves. Are the quasi-canines getting a raw deal or is it just that vampires are sexier. What's going on here?

It's because vampires are more evil. When it comes to movies and comics, people tend to prefer a villain that is constantly, well, villainous (vampires are cold and nasty 24/7). As far as movies go, werewolves aren't evil until they shift. Nobody likes it when you vanquish the guy who had a life (unlike the vampires because they are stereotypical villains with nothing better to do than star in horror movies).
Although I think werewolves are under-appreciated, I don't really want any more cookie-cutter hollywood horror films with them... they are all the same essentially, how can the number really matter?

I know, it just doesn't seem right. Ive always liked the Werewolves better myself. I think your right tho, who wants to fantasize about a big hairy beast?? So yes, Vampires are sexier and sex sells.

Maybe because werewolves can't fly, climb walls or move as fast as vampires. Plus, vampires are 'beautiful' and 'sexy' and immortal. I don't know if werewolves are immortal...
