Should the United States attack Iran?

"I think we've got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians to stop them from killing Americans in Iraq," Lieberman said. "And to me, that would include a strike over the border into Iran, where we have good evidence that they have a base at which they are training these people coming back into Iraq to kill our soldiers." The war in Iran will only last about 6 or 7 months. After all we (USA Government) told the people of the USA the war in Iraq will only last 6 or 7 months.

We can solve Iran by befriending them and encouraging freedom there and an end to their terrorism. The people are rather progressive but have been held back by the clerics and their psycho president.

There is NO definate proof that Iran has attacked the USA, outright, the right response would be to track down and take out the iranian terrorist cells operating in Iraq.

A strike on Iraq would invite full-time military involvement from Iran to go and fight the USA in Iraq, the US can hardly contain the insurgents never mind the regular Iranian military forces.

Iran does sponser terrorism look at the blood on their hands in Lebanon along with the Syrians.

Pearl Harbor was a first strike in WWll. The Japanese attempted total destruction of men and ships. We can not tolerate any first strike where nuclear weapons are involved. Many countries have nuclear weapons. None, since Russian Communists, have threatened us until now, Iran. and No. Korea. We lived in horror every day during the 'Cold War' with Russian threats of total destruction of America. Many Americans would rather get it over with rather than wait out another siege of terror like that again. If 'peace-seeker' from Iran thinks their President is just 'joking around' then you absolutely do not understand the tension within America that those 'jokes' are causing. It matters not if every Iranian is a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Threats of nuclear first strike are no different than the first strike itself. Crafty, lying Muslims did a 9/11 strike on us already. If Iran stays on its present course of nuclear weapons development, that is an act of war.

the US has already overextended itself with what that is doing now. it would be an absolute mess in the event that they attack Iran. they does not have the skill to take care of it, and that i don't think of Russia might help an attack on Iran. the yank government has spent plenty on Iraq. the place does this money come from? it is not coming from out of skinny air. the yank economic equipment might go through even extra suitable in the event that they attack Iran. No. That will only cause more countries to hate us than there already are(if that is possiblr). War should only be used as a last resort, even if someone attacks us, we should try to negotiate with diplomcy first, then if that doesn't work, we go to war. War is not a good thing. Why doesit seem that everyone is for war. Is that what you really want America to be known for. Making War with other countries. But, unless everyone(including Americans) wisens up, I guess the first thing on everyones mind will be "When can we kill people?. Now?.Now?C'mon, I'm having withdrawal"

We wnt to war in Iraq without a good reason. The reason was Bush felt like it. Bush should shoot himself. The war will only last six or seven months?? That's what everyone said about Iraq, and we'eve been there for 4 years, and have seen 3,000 American deaths. I say we save as many lives as we can, and get our troops out, and let the Iraqis do what they want, now thast we messed it up.

The only time to attack another country is when they attack us unprovoked. Now Iran is another entity on it's own. The leadership is fanatical and doing their own people any good. The general population do not have rights and are not free. That is up to them to put a stop to their regime. We could help but I am not in favor of attacking Iran except the terrorist's bases. You are incorrect in your knowledge. This war was never touted to last only 6 or 7 months. If we go to war it will be Iran's doing. As with EVERY conflict we've ever been in, we will not go to war without a reason and a vote in congress. Just as we did in Afghanistan and Iraq. While I do not want to go to war, war may be thrust upon us. We will not back down.

Again missing the point. It is not a war It is an INVASION by the US. into another country. Can't you see you are no different than the Romans, than the Germans, than the Soviets in your actions? Your actions do nothing to stem terrorism(for the terrorists are not there) they are NOT THAT STUPID.
