I would have said My Chemical Romance is a crappy band name! Goo goo dolls is crap too. As is coldplay.
Rolling Stones is a great name for a band.

Bare Naked Ladies (I don't care for their music, but if you were a struggling rock band and the club puts that name on the marquee, people will come to see your show. That's smart.)

C & C Dance Music Factory Presents Freedom Williams (Did they REALLY need a name that friggin long?)

there's a Canadian band referred to as The Tragically Hip, which comes from a action picture referred to as Elephant areas (circa early 80s). BQ: candy living house Alabama (i understand the track is approximately 30 years older than the crappy action picture) Dazed and puzzled (opposite returned) BQ2: The Goodfellas

There was a band called Eek! A Mouse.Never actually heard any of their songs.Not sure about a worst name,but that was the best!
