Smell. Taste is a very minimal part of eating and such. Most of your tasting is done by smelling the food anyhow. That's why people always plug there nose whn they're eating something partiularily awful, it minimizes the taste. Without smell you have bad taste, with smell you can have both. Although yes, taste would be hindered slightly.

I would have to go with taste, only because if I could smell I could be easily convienced that certain things were edible that weren't actually. Also there are things that can be tasted but not smelled, and I enjoy eating waay too much! No taste would take the fun out of that.

trust me, you'd rather have a sense of smell. I lost mine after a surgery 12 years ago. It affects your sense of taste, it lead me to get a bad case of poisoning because I couldn't smell the build up of aerosol paint in my garage. It leaves you without the ability to smell other dangerous odors like gas etc. and you never realize how good things smell till you lose the ability. I recently had a corrective surgery that brought back my sense of smell. Oh my God what a wonderful sense it really is. Fresh mowed lawn, ciniman rolls baking, a womans perfume. Yuppers, I'd trade my sense of taste for my sense of smell anytime.

Taste so that I can enjoy chocolate and all of the other yummy foods! I do like to smell though, and I can tell how foods will taste by smelling them. but yeah, I love to taste!

I think I would chose the smell of taste.
I would be a problem eating without taste.
Not being able to smell, wouldn't be easy but I think losing taste would be worse.

Taste.

Easy question for me. There are some things I had just as soon not smell anyway - think about it. Ha!

Neat question.

Smell, because taste without smell is very basic and unfulfilling.
