I dont get along well with my mother.. infact the only reason we talk is because we share DNA..... I dont talk to my father because he is a child molesting pig.

I am in my late 30's and it is great.
As I got older I came to the realization that my parents knew a lot more about life then I did.
I wish I had listened to them much more as a teen and in my early 20's.

Great relationship with my mom now that I'm sober and on medication. Nonexistent with my father. He's mentally ill and a jerk. Haven't seen him in about 23 years.

With my mom, most of the time we're like friends. With my dad, sometimes I just can't stand being in the same room with him.

I used to be free with them, but now I always get tense around them. Everytime I see them, they always ask me when my husband and I are havings kids, and I prefer avoiding that topic. It's not my topic of interest.
