Buy a stuffed cat and beat the living hell out of it. Stab it, kick it, throw it, hit it with a baseball bat. This will help and the real cat will appreciate it greatly.

Kickboxing is a great way to releive stress and it's a lot of fun. Pop in a video or hang something from the rafters in the garage and go to it.
