60% =(GamesWon + GamesLeftToWin) / (GamesPlayed + GamesLeftToPlay)
.6 = (50 + GamesLeftToWin) / (75 + 45)
.6 = (50 + GamesLeftToWin) / 120
.6 x 120 = ((50 + GamesLeftToWin) / 120) x 120
72 = 50 + GamesLeftToWin
72 - 50 = (50 + GamesLeftToWin) - 50
22 = GamesLeftToWin

The total number of games is 75 + 45 = 120
60% of that is 72 games
The team has already won 50, so needs to win 72 - 50 = 22 more games
So, it must win 22 out of 45 remaining games

the team win 50 out of 75, there are 45 more, so the total is 120 games.
let x be the number of games the team must win.
The team already won 50. that means x + 50 is the total number of games the team must win.
x + 50 = .6 (120)
x + 50 = 72
x = 22
the team must win 22 more games

x = number of games needed to win
(50 + x)/(75 + 45) = 60%
(50 + x)/(120) = .6
50 + x = 120 * .6
x = 22
They need to win 22 more games. Go team!

Total games played = 120
(50+x)/120 = .6
50+x = 72
x = 22
Check: (50+22)/120 = .6 = 60%

Salty is right on this one; teams have departments dealing with the business side of their team. Remember, MLB is more than just a game, its a business. Teams and stadiums need to know trends on what concessions are selling and what not. When attendance isn't too good, teams want to know how spark it up. Well you get the point. Now, I hate to tell you this but the chances of breaking with a MLB team is highly unlikely without experience. If you willing enjoy math, look into becoming an accounting or economist. These are great careers and those MLB jobs will at least require this on your resume as well as experience. . btw, I would see if you can get a job that gets you around someone already working on the inside of a MLB team. Whatever that may be, say a waiter at big parties, driver, etc. This is a long shot but your chances of getting a job such as one at a professional sports league office will go up if you somebody who knows somebody. Good luck mate.

50/75 has a winning percentage of 66.6%. to win 60% of all games which is 120, they need to win
x/120*100=60
x/120=0.6
x=120*0.6=72
they need to win 72 of total 120 games meaning they need to win 22 of the remaining games.

[(50+x)/(75+45)]*100% = 60%
[(50+x)/120] = 60/100
50+x = (3/5)*120
x = 72 - 50
x = 22
