b^2 - 2bc + c for b = 4 and c = -1

4 X 4 - 2 X 4 X -1 + -1 = 16 + 8 - 1 = 23

b^2 - 2bc + c
= (4^2) - 2(4)(-1) + (-1)
= 16 + 8 - 1
= 23

=(b-c)^2
=(4-(-1))^2
=(5)^2
=25
