I descend from the Percy Family of England, which years ago was one of the most powerful families in England. They had titles and everything, until Thomas Percy tried blowing up James I in the Gunpowder Plot and the Percies changes their name to Pierce and fled to America before they were all hunted down. I can prove I am a descendant of theirs, and it is easy, seeing as one of my great-grandparents had the name Pierce and could prove they were part of that same family with documents. Will the British government give me my family's titles back or not if I became a British citizen?

Probably not;there are most likely more direct decendants who still hold the title.

You do not have to be a UK citizen to have a peerage title, you would only need citizenship to sit in parliament. You would have to prove that your family are the rightful heirs to these titles, which is an expensive and time consuming process, and even then, you could be refused. If these titles were simply in abeyance because there were a series of ineligible female heirs and the current rightful holder was simply unknown, then you might get it back. But if your ancestors were stripped of titles for treason, the crown is under no obligation to restore them even if you are the descendant who would have inherited the title. A few people were stripped of their titles for treason in WW1 and their descendants are alive and well, but have never got the titles back.

Now, G. W, we all know your popularity rating as President is down below 30 percent, but to chunk it all and to go back where you came from is a tad bit absurd--even if your mother's maiden mame is Pierce*. Besides, Tony and Gordon would both like for you to stay away for awhile--you're cramping Labour's style.
______
*Barbara Bush's maiden name was Pierce.
