The peas my MeMaw canned. She passed away 12 years ago so I think they are quite old. I opened one jar a couple of weeks ago and they were not very good! I just can not make myself throw out the last jar I have.

There's a jar of Marmite in there with a label design I haven't seen in the stores in quite some time. Not sure what the sell-by date is though. Does Marmite even have a sell-by date?

This weird cornbread mix that's been sitting there for over 6 years. Some of my spices are even older though, like going on 10 years old.

I have a small tin of green chilis that is so old I'm not even sure if I bought it or if it was here when I moved in.
I hear voices coming from that cupboard, late at night, and it frightens me. I think the chilis have become sentient life forms.....
