I build from the WHOLE... the entire whole, to be a bit redundant. Some pieces are broken, some smashed - but there is learning there. All the pieces make up the big picture... the broken, the seemingly shattered... without them, the picture is not complete.

Why, you ask? My life has spanned 35 years thus far. That is a lot of time by some people's estimation, a mere *blink* by that of others. When I was a child I was beaten and smashed, hurt in many ways. As an adult, I've made choices that have caused me to smash myself. But I am whole... I am all those pieces... the pain and the ugly, the joyful and serene (Brief comment: Life is good... I am mostly joyful and serene!!).

I have built myself from many broken pieces... I must love each one for its fragile beauty. I am not the imagined whole of the past... I am the whole of the present, composed of all I've learned and hoped and dreamed thus far.

Wanna know the best thing about broken pieces? Sometimes they are the best way to let light shine through :)

I don't know if broken is the right word. I tend to think in terms of confused, what I am can get jumbled up emotionally and overlap for a while.
In time, it sorts itself out and reassembles into a normal pattern again. Typically, I'll just get quiet and contemplate my way through it.
It really doesn't happen to me too much anymore.

i think its more fun to build something that once existed and put all the pieces together and try to understand the story its suppose to tell!!... I would build it from starch to bring it to its true form*
