I've heard that there is software you can get to find out what people are doing on the computer, is that true ? Not very computer literate, but i'm very interested to find out more....

I have heard of a 'key stroke' torjan horse. This is basicly a VERY BAD computer infection, where what you type is remembered and sent to somewhere else. So a hacker could use what you have typed into a password section, in order to steal your identity.

BAD STUFF! Why do you ask??

Instead of getting software that watches keystrokes, can't you just look at the "history"? Archive the IMs if that's where you have suspicons--it helped me catch him cheating. Overall, I would say this is an issue of trust and should be dealt with face to face with the user. Good luck.
