I just came across this line from Murder of a Botoxed Blonde and laughed out loud- "Men only have two emotions- hungry and horny. If you see one without an erection, make him a sandwich." What line made you laugh out loud?

There are just so many in Carl Hiaasen books that is hard to remember. He always makes me laugh out loud. One I kind of remember is these guys who were trying to stop tourists from coming to Florida and staging all these accidents to scare them away. They put a bomb in the ground at the dog track. And the line was something like "There was a dog named Lucky who went off at 12:45- literally" Carl Hiaasen makes me so mad because I wish I could write like him. Pax - C

PS Your line is great. I must remember that.

For me, any of Douglas Adams' works make me laugh. His books are so, so funny, and the world is a sadder place without him.

"In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry, and was widely regarded as a bad move."

"Anyway, I'm sort of glad they've got the atomic bomb invented. If there's ever another war, I'm going to sit right the hell on top of it. I'll volunteer for it, I swear to God I will."
-The Catcher in the Rye

I love that book!

"If ever you gets to up'ards o' fifty, and feels disposed to go a-marryin' anybody--no matter who--jist you shut yourself up in your own room, if you've got one, and pison yourself off hand. Hangin's wulgar, so don't you have nothin' to say to that. Pison yourself, Samivel, my boy, pison yourself, and you'll be glad on it arterwards.' With these affecting words, Mr. Weller looked steadfastly on his son, and turning slowly upon his heel, disappeared from his sight. " (Dickens, The Pickwick Papers)
