I've been using Arnica Gel and taking extra vitamin c. I've had this big bruise on my leg for three days and would like it gone in two days before I go to the beach.

Unfortunately, there's no quick way to really get rid of a bruise. The bruise is just bleeding underneath the skin from an injury and it can take your body some time before it resorbs all the dried blood. You'll notice as the days go by that it'll go from dark, blackish, red to almost faint green as your body begins to resorb it. Obviously, big bruises take longer to go away than small ones. I know you are going to the beach, but at least you take advantage of it and make up a wild story on how you got the bruise. It's a great conversation starter.

My doctor told me to soak the area in warm water each day ~ 5 to 10 minutes me in the tub would be good if you have time to do that.

The bruise is dried blood so Vitamin C isn't going to help remove the bruise although it might help keep you from bruising as bad in the future.

I would keep doing what you are doing but my thought is that bruises only heal over time so just give it a little while. If you want it gone fast and it's a bruise that hurts quite often then apply ice. This sounds kind of silly...well it works.

While you are soaking it in warm water you need to gently massage the area to help disburse the accumulated blood. Do this two or three times a day and it will help speed the removal of your bruise.
