Go to a rental store...I recommend;

The Thing
The Blob
The Forbidden Planet
The day the earth stood still
The Omega Man
The Planet Of The Apes
Soylent Green
Logans Run
Silent Running
Martian Chronicles (Mini-series)
Farenheit 451
Rollerball

Those wer my favorites!

Don't know about source, but your collection has to include Forbidden Planet and The Day the Earth Stood Still. Both defining classics from the era.
Oh and since crabby... mentioned Plan B From Outer Space, don't get that confused with Plan 9 From Outer Space, which is arguably the most ridiculous, hysterically bad movie ever made.

A number of those flicks are available from Rhino Video, both in the original form and in the MST3K-"enhanced" versions.

Of course, Amazon.com has a huge selection available.

There are a couple of other video outlets that sell the older, cheesier stuff. Try Critic's Choice Video -- yeah, despite the name, they actually carry some of the cheesier stuff!

Hope that helps!

As long as you have titles--amazon.com has "Plan B from Outer Space" and other 50s-60s sci-fi movies.
