The last time I did a good deed was on Thursday when I was riding the bus & a lady accidentally left her wallet. Instead of me opening it & seeing what was in it &/or taking anything out of it, I just gave it to the busdriver.

I usually do a good deed in some way every single day. Whether it be holding a door open, giving someone my seat, helping out with a chore, giving someone a ride, or just taking the time to talk to someone.....but that was truly an honorable thing you did...congratulations! Not too many people would return it...lets hope the bus driver does! You prob shoulda kept it, got her address and even threw into her mailbox or something. You coulda even dropped it into the closest mailbox and the PO woulda gotten it to her..that happened to me once. But thank you for being so thoughtful!

I have to tell you a story....when my son was about 3 y.o, he was out for dinner with his Dad, and while in the mens room, found a mans wallet. He gave it to his Dad, who in turn walked over to the mans table to return it. He gave my son $20.00, and until we moved, this man sent my son a card on every holiday of the year (honest to God) and put a $20.00 bill in each card. He did that for 3 years! If we hadnt moved, he may have continued. So it really does pay to be honest!

I try to do a good deed whenever I can. I am not saying that Karma is real, but why not help others while we have the chance. My daughters were with me the other day and this lady walked by where I teach and was obviously looking "lost" and I asked her if we could help her. After telling her where she needed to go, my daughter said "Dad you're too nice." I think if that's the worst thing my kids ever say about me, I'll be doing pretty darned good.

I drove across town to pick up an 84 year old woman for church, then to an assisted living home and picked up another woman for church, then to a group home to pick up a 14 year old girl who is in foster care for church. Then drove everyone home afterward. I guess this really isn't a good deed because I do it every Sunday. But I do good deeds as often as I can.

I am sure the lady whose wallet you found was very grateful.

Yesterday. At my job, a guy left his cell phone and I did some research and was able to find him and tell him...he even said THANK YOU to me. He came back and got it an hour later.
