Heat is absorbed into any colour, but black, as well as darker colours, will absorb to a greater degree than lighter colours because lighter colors reflect the light.

It's physics! Light colors tend to reflect sunlight and darker colors absorb the radiation. Therefore, you are going to feel hotter when wearing black. During the summer, being 'hot' is not always a good thing.

Black doesn't attract, it's just that white reflects more light and heat than black.

Heat isn't attracted to black, the properties of light just make it hot. There are tons and tons of colors in "whtie light". For something to be green for example, the object must absorb every color of light, except for the green color. It reflects the green color.
THE REASON you get so hot when wearing black is because it absorbs all the colors of light. WHen it absorbs all that light, it also absorbs the heat that the light creates.

Black objects absorb more heat (so feel hotter), but also radiate it away faster. White objects absorb less heat, but they radiate it away more slowly. That's why horses in the desert are black, and Arabs wear black clothing. They know that that colour radiates heat off them faster.

I think is because black reflects the least amount of light. So, most of the energy (light) is being absorb. The opposite would be white. White reflects a lot of light. So, some of the energy is being absorb by you and some of the energy is being redirected somewhere else. kind of like a mirror.

this is a physics question.
it has something to do with the electron configuration.
light, which also carries heat, can be absorbed more or less by a specific color. white absorbs the least amount of heat and is more transparent to heat so try that. ^_^

Black is actually all of the colors in the spectrum, so it absorbs all of those waves of light. White, on the other hand, reflects all, because it has no pigment. Hope that helps! (:

Because black and dark colours absorb heat whereas white and light colours reflect it.

black absorbs all of the colors in the color spectrum and turns them into heat energy.
White reflects almost all of the colors of the color spectrum and absorbs the least amount of heat energy.
PS my 12 year old son gave this answer after learning this in science class
