I thought demons meant to do you harm,but every experience i,ve had with a ghost it seemed like they were just lookin for attention not to harm anyone,just to let someone know they were there

Ghosts are people 'stuck' in the lowest realms because they have not made the effort to go to the light. The reasons can be many, and all are confused. They wonder why they can or can't be heard and they wish no harm, just some guidance to progress.

Demons and ghosts are two very different things. A ghost is an imprint of a spirit, or a piece of the soul...a memory perhaps. A demon is a malignant force. It wishes to do harm, evil, and destruction.

Ghosts are just people who've passed on. There are those that are nothing more then recordings and there are those who are stuck here for whatever personal reason. They are good, bad, and indifferent, just like people.
Demons, now that's convoluted. They can be the christian demons(fallen angels) or they could be the greek daemons etc etc etc.
You might want to take a look at John Michael Greer's Monsters book, it might help clarify things.

^ Demons and ghosts are two different things. Demons are evil, demonic creatures. Ghosts are non-corporeal entities that haven't gone into the light yet, they either have something to finish on this plane of existence or they don't know they are dead.

That is because ghost and demons are totally two different entities................................. All demons are fallen angels, And they are very much alive but they are in service of Satan.......... where as ghost can be a multitude of different dimensional being and well as dis-embodied spirits... Also I know that you have never ran into a demon for if you did you would know the difference beyond all reasonable doubt..................................................................

ghosts and demons are different ghosts are trapped between life and death demons are evil servants of Satan that is summoned to earth perhaps by black magic.

Demons (evil spirits) cause harm, but they are very
simular to poltergeists (who are mischievous).
Angels and eudemons are the good kind.
Ghosts have many genders (not in sexes tense).

Well yeah. Don't think though that the alternate dimension is all love and bunny-rabbit kisses, there is some evil in the Universe, but if the ghost is evil, you will feel it.
