Being in the mosh pit, in the seats or in a pavillion, or in the lawn aera?
I love the mosh pit because you can mosh with your friends and you can get really close to the band your watching.

Mosh pit, because
1. you can mosh
2. you can stand pretty much anywhere
3. you get to be close to the band
if backstage was one of your options i would have picked backstage

i haven't been to a concert before (i know, sucks eh?) but i would want to be in the mosh pit for the same reason as you.
