It has been obvious for weeks that things are not good between the two friends such as Jethro calling him Dr Mallard. We have not missed an episode but do not know why they have fallen out. They do make up in the next episode but does anyone know why they fell out?

Gibbs' sudden leaving at the end of season 3 and subsequent reinstatement led to a marked cooling off of the friendship between the two, but in the episode "smoked" they reconiled their differences but it was revealed that Ducky's upset was due to Gibbs never telling him about his deceased first wife and daughter. he thought they were close and was hurt what he found out he didn't know him as much as he thought.

think about it. it is tv and they want you to wonder what is going on. the best show i watch is NCIS
