I ride a Japanese bike (actually, it's made in Spain, global economy being what it is) because it was a good value for the money. I'd be very tempted by a Ducati, except those desmodromic valve adjustments kind of scare me.

nicely, there are some issues you may desire to contemplate. My uncle has a ducati and a yamaha. He would not experience the ducati plenty with the aid of fact it value plenty on maintenance and maintenance even however that's plenty nicer to experience and greater delicate than his yamaha r1. additionally, he took his yamaha in at present for a track up and that they checked each and every thing and he paid approximately six hundred.00 for the service. on the different hand, he took his ducati final 12 months and it replaced into approximately 1500. So, if i've got been you, i pass with a eastern motorcycle yet once you have the money, then why don't you get a italian? I in basic terms offered a 2008 gsxr750 and that i like it!! So it certainly relies upon on what you like and in case you've gotten sufficient funds it. good success!

Italian bikes are very difficult to get parts for. My friend has an Aprilia and it takes him months to get parts.
Japanese bikes are a dime a dozen, there are dealers everywhere and I can go find whatever part I need within several miles of my house.
That is the only reason I wouldn't want an Italian one. Plus they are pretty rare and expensive.

Living in Greece, italian parts would be easy to get. I personally will ride anything, much to my wife's ire.

Every try to get service done on an exotic? It's near impossible in most part of the United States of America. As for the Japanese, though manufacturered in the USA, it's not an American company. My money is spent here in hopes of it staying here, whenever possible. That is getting harder everyday.
