too much for son?

do you think its to much to allow my 13 year old son to have provacative posters of britney spears and christina aguilera on his wall?should i worry hes doing more than looking at them?

It wont do him any harm to look at them. Most teenage boys are the same.
I doubt theres anything beind it apart from him thinking theyre 'hot'.
I would be more worried if he had a computer in his room with access to the internet.. porn lol.

Boys will be boys. I dont know about a poster though I would wait a few more years probably til hes 15 or 16 for those. Maybe for now he should stick to magizine cut outs. But if you have seen the way some of these girls dress now... 10 is the new 20 they are maturing faster than other generations so keep that in mind also

I don't think it's appropriate for him to hang posters like that. He's only 13! But, you shouldn't tell him what to hang on his walls, unless he is an older sibling... do you really want to send the message to your other children that this is OK?
Also, maybe you could get him to hang stuff on the back of his door, that way when company is walking down the hallway, they aren't subjected to those 2 grinding a sports car.
And I completely agree with the first person who mentioned the porn on the Internet....Up his security so he can't see anything.... Good luck!

As long as it's a commercial poster, I don't see anything wrong. Neither of them is going to pose for pictures that show anything more than he'll see at any swimming pool. As for fantasy vs. reality, I'm sure he's well aware that the girls around him don't dress or pose like that most of the time.

OTOH, if he wants blow-ups of Britney getting out of the car.... NO!!!

He more than likely is doing more than looking at them! I'm 13 and all the boys I know are very...shall we say...active when it comes to posters like that. Lets put it in perspective and see...would you rather he looks at these pictures to satisfy his sexual feelings or that he goes out, has sex and gets someone pregnant?
I'm presuming you chose the 1st option?? Am I right?? It's perfectly fine for boys his age to want to look at a skantily clad woman and have fantasies about her. If you're really worried talk to your his father about it, he's a guy and he's been through what your son is going through right now. If you both don't want him to have them get him to talk to him. If you don't let him have them and all his mates do he could feel left out. Remember!! ► IT'S NORMAL!! Hope that helps xxx

Let the poor guy have the damn posters, hes 13 unless of course your a parent hu used "time out" to punish your kids, coz then we know that yes you should, but hopeflly you werent so i think you should let him have them, i did and im 15, my parents bought them for me, hes gotta learn some day

No. It's none of your business. If you don't let him have those posters than he will go out and actually try to steal them or become an even worse child.

No 13 is the beginning of all that stuff Id be more worried if he didn't show an interest in that sort of thing. If he is doing more than look at them I am afraid its none of your business hes his own person experimenting which is completely normal. I would advise you to give him ' the talk' though soon if you haven't already.

Yes I think it is wrong. I don't think boys that live at home should ever be allowed to have provocative pictures of women in their room. I think this is sending the wrong message about women and how they should be respected for who they are not what they look like.

Better posters of skanks than the actual thing! Why would you worry if he pleases himself? It's what boys DO! No disrespect intended. I suggest getting him a lock for his door, so you don't walk in on the poor feller.
