recently given a win 2000 old laptop from a company and the passord admin one given to me is wrong. Failing this would like to format the drive so as I can use to answer e0-mails any help? The CD I have the drive I have but this thing will not boot to a CD

I know hwo to change the boot sequence but the boot sequence will not work the computer as I said is a windows 2000 and I cannot get past the login sreen

there is a program called cain & Abel that will find most passwords that r stored in ur comp email me if u cant solve ur question using cain

"The CD I have the drive I have but this thing will not boot to a CD" tells me that you have to change the "Boot Sequence" to Boot from CD first.
The very First screen you see when you turn on your PC should tell you how to change it (Hint: F8 or F12) or look in the BIOS Settings, also on the first screen (Hint: DEL or ESC). Yours may differ.
Then, you can do a "Clean Install of W2K" that will format the entire drive. Set a new Password and write it down.
