If Alex Rodriquez stays healthy, in my opinion he will smash any record set by Bonds..he's still relatively young, and almost at 500 HR's already, and at the pace he's hitting them. he'll be well over 500 at seasons end.

I think that Alex Rodriguez will have the HR record by the end of his career. I will be there to support him when he's does break the record. I believe in him and I think that he can do it. Even if he gets traded to another team which i hope he doesnt because i love him way too much and the Yankees wouldnt be the same without him, I still will be there to cheer him on. I love A-Rod and I think that he will have the HR record by the end of his career. GO A-ROD!! GO YANKEES!!!

If he keeps his current pace I don't see why not...and quite honestly, even though I think A-Rod does some really bush league stuff on the field that is just disrespectful, I would rather him break both the single season HR mark and the overall HR record because I can respect him a lot more than I can Barry, McGwire, or Sosa who I all believe are or were juiced.

Who cares? Bonds, Rodriguez that's the same sham checklist. Hammerin Hank Aaron is the actual homerun king. A baseball legend and a upstanding guy or woman who finished greatness that A-Roid can in basic terms dream of.

He has more homers now than anyone ever at his age and isn't slowing. Most baseball experts Peter Gammons etc... think if he plays untill 40 or so he will hit 800!! As long as he never has a major injury its almost a lock

i think he will, but i think Griffey Jr. might challenge the record also (he is only 38) , next in line is A Rod and lastly if neither of these two challenge the record i think Big Al Puljos will but that is another 15 years down the road so who knows what could happen.

Absolutely...however, if things go the way they are, he will probably be passed by Pujols eventually. Tough to say with injurys and the like

If it hadnt been for injurys, I think Griffy would be right at 755 now.

the kid is 31 years old. if he plays until 43 which is bonds age he only needs and average of around 20 home runs per year. so yea barring injury or steroid scandals he most likely will.

I think he definitely will. He needs to average less than 40 HR per year and he'll break it. Griffey would probably have the record if he hadn't gotten hurt multiple times.

Well if he hits at least 36hr every year until he's like 38 he'll be close to 800
