the media hype was way too much..if he was returning to the Royals, Cubs etc. the coverage would not have been as intense, but going to the Yankees, and Media capital NYC, it was well over played...

I'm a Yankee fan and I'm glad Clemens is back. The coverage was necessary, but may have been a little to much. Besides what else are they going to talk about? The reason Clemens got so much media coverage is because of who he is.

no, because the man is 45 years old. He is getting paid an exorbent amount of money to "save" the yankees...he will only pitch every four or five days.and the likeley hood is that he'll end up beong a bust. Just goes to show the state of desperation the yankees are in. but personaaly, i think joe torre is doing everything he can do. i think they should fire everyone except joe torre, and start over. notice after they fired one of their trainers, there were no more hamstring injuries??

No, but Roger, the self adulator par excellence, seeks headlines and gets them. The media and the Yankee fans are delusional if they really think that Roger, the six inning pitcher, will make a difference.

Chow!!

I thought it was pretty stupid/funny that they televised his last minor league start on ESPN, but they didn't televise his first real return start.
