6 AM would actually be Sunday morning. If it's like a one time thing or an every now and then thing, just a few hours of sleep would be fine, but if this is your regular schedule, then you need to try to get the 8 hours of sleep.

Get more sleep if you can, then make sure you get 8 hours the next night so you stay in you usual routine. Also, don't take a nap that day if you can help it. If you do take a nap, go to bed later.

Wake up at 11 (if you can).
Then the next night, go to bed early. Then you can have a nice long sleep and wake up early the next morning, with your body clock back in order. :)

Sleep for eight hours. The human body has two periods of sleep, one overnight and one in the middle of the day.

If your were up since morning of previous day, and you have nothing important to do during Sunday, I would take not only 8 hours of sleep, I would take as much as I can possibly take because when I do things like that my body gets exhausted, and it's better to give it as much time as needed to recuperate at the time of sleep.

But it's up to you. Listen to your body and soul, and they won't guide you astray :)

you'll be exhausted for the rest of the day.

Your question is impossible to follow. AM means before Noon and PM from after NOON to just before Midnight. You should rephrase your question to clarify it.
