Because they have to give credit to the people who helped make the episode of the show, the reason they speed it up is prolly cuz they want to get to the commercials.

I don't know but I agree with you. I like to read the credits too. Television companies often minimise the credits so that they can advertise other programs, and other times I think the credits have been sped up to allow the program to fit within the specified timeslot.

many actors and craft people's contracts require screen credit as a condition of acceptance. just like the boilerplate legal stipulations on medicine advertisements, they must be there- but they are not displayed for any great length of time.

They know you can slow motion if you want to see them. They speed it up for air time, so they can go to a commercial faster...just a guess
