I think it's wrong ,for it's nothing to do with risky investment in stocks and commodities.

2)The XYZ affair of 1797 did much to improve relations between America and France.

3)President Jefferson and nation were relieved when France resecured Louisiana from Spain in 1800, for Americans would again have shipping rights through New Orleans, a better chance for western expansion, and a friendly neighbor along their western border.

1) There was some overspeculation, but it was mostly on land. After the War of 1812, America was in debt. The Country then went into a post-war boom becauase of the speculation of land. Europe also partially caused for the Panic of 1819 to happen, too. After all of the wars with Napoleon, Europe's agriculture and economies had been destroyed. That in part caused for the higher demand for food, which led Americans to speculate on land to supply for those demands.

The last cause was the bankers themselves. They had little experience in the banking system and continually encouraged the speculation, until it came back to bite them in the heel.

TRUE, with some more causes with speculation, however.

2) The XYZ actually worsened the relations between the U.S in France. It caused the Quasi-War of 1798.

3) When we had New Orleans under our control we could finally control shipping and expand in all directions. The economy would improve, and we could ship again in somewhere besides Boston, too.

1. true in the case of land it was risky and stocks and commodities that dealt with land at this time

2. false it was treated with almost venomous results as if treason was in the air

3. true- it helped aid us and prompt us togive to France $ 15 million for the Louisiana Purchase
