Which city/state has the worst drivers?

I recently read a story ranking Miami, Boston and New York drivers as the worst drivers in the nation.

According to MSN Money, the worst drivers in the US, based on a written driving test, are in Rhode Island.

Allstate rated the 10 best and worst cities for 2006 based on claims data (see 2nd link in sources).

And according to a 2004 Speed Channel survey (see 3rd link below), their viewers rated Massachusettes drivers as the worst in the US, followed by Florida and California.

I'd have to pick Florida as the state with the worst drivers. Although I certainly agree with the observations already made about Jacksonville, Orlando is far worse.

Any state that has strait roads, and also people who driv ein cities.

I live in the mountains and there are always drivers from other states that cant even do the speed limit, very annoying when the store is 30 miles away and I am behind some city people going 35 in a 55

Well i would say new york city becuase each and every day theres a car crash or hit and run especially in the bronx area in new york city. There has been 2 thousand or more hit and run or car crash this year so i supposed new york city is one of the few worst drivers in the world in the united states.

People assumes that the place where the most wrecks is what determines the worst drivers. That not necessarily so. The place of the worst drivers is where you see cars stop without reason at yield signs, where cars stop at on ramps instead of blending in with traffic, where cars stop at green lights, where drivers are eating with one hand and holding a drink of phone with the other at the same time, where drivers doesn't verify nothing is in their blind spots, where cars refuse to allow other cars to pass legally, where cars changes lanes without looking, where cars fail to stop for stop school buses, where cars move too slow, etc.
Many stupid drivers out there.

I may not be in experience with all the states, but I live in Phoenix, AZ and there is absolutely horrible drivers here. It's mainly because there are lots of rich, stupid, snobby people that live here that are always on their cell phones and drive like an idiot. Most of the time whe drivers are going to slow, speeding, make a sharp turn, all the things you can think of, I look over at them and they are on their cell phone laughing away. Arizona could really use the cell phone law they have in California!!

This was just on the Today show I think it was a few days ago. The worst city for driving is Miami, Florida. Many different people from different countries all trying to learn how to drive here, coupled with the large population of Miami calls for problems.

I was driving near Jacksonville, Florida and during rush hour, people will veer off onto the shoulder to try to prevent rear-ending someone, instead of using common sense and keep a safe distance, and use their brakes!
I have only driven down their twice and witnessed two accidents on the freeway due to this stupid assinine behavior.
I will NEVER drive down there again. Complete IDIOTS !!!

Southern NH in around the MA boarder. Its not the MA drivers it is the NH drivers. They think nothing of trying to kill someone. They cut us off, they are agressive, they expect everyone to get out of their way. I guess they are taking the Live free or die thing literally, I just wish they'd stop trying to kill half the population while they are trying to kill themselves.
