Set a timer and see how much you can get done in a limited amount of time. Like 15 to 30 minutes. You would be suprise what you can accomplish in that amount of time.

The best way to clean your room fast is to pick up after yourself before you go to bed. If that is not happening enlist the help of family and get organized first. Designate sleeping, working, dressing areas and only keep stuff in those areas you use for those areas. Donate or trash anything you have not used or worn in the past year. Once you are organized and everything in your room has a home it may take a little discipline to keep it tidy.

DYN-O-MITE!? Actually get off the computer have an energy drink and get busy. Seriously be very organized when you do clean and once the area is clean keep it that way. Cleaning a little as you go in a pretty clean room beats the heck out of letting it get really messy, so in the long run you will save time by cleaning as you go.

Break it up into either zones or "things". I'm assuming you're living with your parents, so am going by how I explain to my kids how to clean their room! If you want to go by zones, then try this:

clear off and put away everything on the bed
Make the bed neatly
remove toys/clothes, etc... from under the bed and put away
pick up and put away things on floor around bed
clear off dresser tops and dust
use windex on the doorknob and light switch, plus any mirrors

now, for the "things" method!.....

Looking at the whole room, separate everything into piles:

clothes (throw dirty ones in the hamper first)
books
papers
toys
garbage

Then once you have these piles, work on one pile at a time. It's easiest to clear off your bed first and make it neatly so you have a clean spot to sort your piles. Dusting and windexing and vacuuming comes at the end, once everything is up and off the flat surfaces and floor. Good luck!

Cleaning Your Room! Fast and Easy
cleaning a room (your room) really isn't as hard as you may think or believe.
Just follow these easy steps to completely clean your room.

Step two: The Laundry
Step three: The nightstand
Step four: Random stuff
Step five: Dressers and closets

Step seven: computer desks
Step eight: The floor

Step One: The Bed
Making the bed makes a room look good fairly quickly.

1-Remove stuff from bed, and wash if necessary.
2-Replace and tuck in sheets.
3-Place warming blanket (down or otherwise (unless its summer out)).
4-Place the decorative blanket.

Step Two: Laundry
1-Retrieve laundry from around the room

3-Send a load down to laundry, and place the rest of the piles on the bed

1-Remove items from nightstand, and sort
2-Clean glass/top of stand, and apply a wood-oil if necessary

Move random junk to their respective places, and vacuum where they used to be if your going to place them in their original places.

Start at the doorway and go right. Pick up each item once, and I mean ONCE ONLY, put it where it belongs. Keep going around the room while you do this. Eventually your room will be neat and orderly. The more times you touch something without putting it away prolongs your cleaning time.

Shove everything under your bed.

I personally prefer just pressing a button that summons a group of cleaner robot minions that dust, sweep, and put everything in place. They do a good job because they all work at once and together as a group. They're usually done within a minute and the place is spotless and organized flawlessly.

lol, just kidding. I actually don't push a button to do that. I have another robot minion that I summon to push the button for me.

What really works for me is to not let it get messy in the first place !!! I simply walk to my closet and hang up what needs to be hung up after wearing it or put in the hamper for future laundry.

Sure saves time... I hate cleaning so I don't let it get dirty in the first place.

: )

throw items you arent using in a dresser and/or closet, trash in a trash bag, clothes in a hamper, then vaccum (you can vaccum tile or hardwood, also)....spray some febreeze or light a candle, turn on the fish aquarium and ceiling fan, and there you go :) quick and easy
