The Israeli news service Arutz Sheva is reporting that Saturday afternoon, Islamic Jihad and the Al Alska martyrs brigade used a vehicle labeled TV and blew a hole in the Israeli security fense, attacked and tried to kidnap soldiers. Israel stopped the attack and killed one of the terrorists. If you remember last summer when Gilat Shalit was kidnapped, which he still hasn't been returned, it set off a major offensive and then there was later a copycat kidnapping (and those two soldiers are still not released either despite the peace agreement securing their release) by hezbollah set off the war in Lebannon. Al Alska is the "moderate" Fatah party that the United States and international community is pressuring Israel to support finacially and politically .Fatah is supporting terrorism and is deliberately trying to start another full blown war with Israel and the international media is silent. WHY?

A couple of things......haaretz is hardly considered mainstream media like CNN, AP, Rueters, etc.

The reason I personally feel that is a major newsworthy event is because it shows beyond any shadow of a doubt that Fatah is purposely using civilian institutions as human shields against Israeli counterattacks. The general consensus of the international community and of the UNITED STATES is that Fatah should be supported and seeks diplomacy. A story like this going unreported helps keep that myth alive and the naive believing the smoke and mirrors productions of the Fatah government that it desires peace, which it obviously doesn't.....ask the Lebanese army that is currently fighting with a faction of Fatah if these people are peace loving. A story like this going unreported to the masses fuels the ignorance of people like Mel Gibson saying the Jews have started every war. A story like this going unreported is entrapment for Israel to frame them as the bad guy when they defend. OY

Excellent question. This item definitely should have been covered in the news. Alas, I'm aware of numerous occasions when Israelis have been killed by radical Islamic groups and it's never included in any news item - it's very frustrating.

Thank you for raising this issue.

I am not a geologist, but, the time period of your experiment (ten seconds) is far too short. Try leaving the ice out for a couple hours and see if any of it melts. Also, it is a fact that Artic and Antartica ice is melting, that can be proven and has been measured. This is not where the controversy over global warming is. There is no question about whether the ice is melting. The questions/controversy relates to whether the trend will reverse itself and whether humans are the cause. Lastly, Al Gore came out with an Inconvenient Truth (about Global Warming) in 2006 and it based on the work of scientists that took notice of this long before that. Benghazi took place in 2012, so in order to make your scenario true, Al Gore would have had to predict the future 6 years in advance. If he could really predict the future 6 years in advance, we should have elected him President, and afterwords, made him an important adviser in our government (and an adviser to the rest of the world) for the rest of his life.

Why? Because, with all due respect, Fatah is always trying to start a full out war with Israel. It's not news. Iran started their "countdown" towards Israel's annhiliation.

As much as I fully support the freedom of a sovereign state, people are just as tired of Iran's warmongering as they are of Bush. God and Allah are the same FFS. It's just wicked people that use their religion to persuade people to do wicked things.
