Call your doctor and get a script. It's better to do it that way. Or you can as the doc to give you a list of everything you can take over the counter. My doc gave me a list but I don't have it anymore sorry. I think you might be able to take sudafed but don't take my word for it. Call the doc.

Colds & FLU:
ok to take...
Tyenol - aches and pains
Sudafed- congestion
Robitussin- coughs
Chloraseptic/cepacol lozenges- sore throat

come to doc IF:
fever over 101
coughing up alot of phlegm
noth gettting better in 2-3 days
if ur worried

Alllergies
Ok to take:
Benadryl ONLY

Constipation:
ok to take
Milk of Magnesia
Colace

Diarrhea
ok to take:
Kaopectate
Brat diet

come to doc IF:
fever
diarrhea continues
dizyy
not better in 2-3 days

Nausea and Vomtiing
ok to take:
Vitamin B6,
Gingertea
Emertrol

come to doc IF:
weak and dizzy
unable to drink liquids for more then 1 day

Heartburn and gas
ok to take:

Mylanta
Maalox

come to doc IF
u have bad abdominal pain

Headaches
OK to take
TYLENOL (or extra strenght)
DO NOT TAKE ASPIRIN OR IBUPROFEN PRODUCTS!!!!

Hemorrhoids
ok to take:
Preparation H
ansol
tuck wipes

Nosebleeds or gum bleeding
are very common cant realy do nothing for them

Leg cramps
ok to take:
Oscal 500 or similar over the counter calcium twice daily:)


all this came off my hospital paper given at pregnancy:)

Try inhaling steamy air from a hot shower or put your head over a bowl with hot water & eucalyptus oil, cover your head with a towel & breath deeply. Try this before you even consider any prescription meds. If you really need something heavier your pharmicist can advise you (probably better than your doc) on which is safest in pregnancy. Do keep in mind than sinusy problems are very common in pregnancy & you might just have to ride this through like so many of the other wonderful pregnancy symptoms. Good luck with it & take care.

It is unsafe to take just about anything when you are pregnant. If possible I would avoid all medications, and definately avoid all over the counter medications without checking with your doctor.

I was prescribed claritin during pregnancy. Doc sid it was the safest thing...
