Unless your placae of work or company has more than 101 employees, I would keep my mouth shut if i were you, So long as he is paying you the correct amount of wages, otherwise you could find yourself out of work and no unfair dismisal laws to protect you.
You could always try calling the department of fair trading, but unless you have physical proof, there is not much you can do about it.

It really depends on your contract. If there is no mention of changing work hours in the contract then they are can pretty much do what ever they like.
Under the previous 'award' agreements they'd often have to have a 'genuine operational' reason to reduce hours for permanent full time staff.
As others have said, if this is what they are doing then it would be worth starting to look else where. You never know what is around the corner.

If you are a salaried employee then your pay should never change. However if you are hourly and do not work the hours then you don't get paid for what you don't work no matter what your schedule states. You say he changed a time sheet, but you didn't state if you worked the hours he deducted.

If you are saleried, it makes no difference unless you work more than a certain limit of overtime hours, which has recently been raised by the Bush administration so that employers can basically screw you until you drop dead.

Ah, because a salaried employee still qualifies for overtime pay.

It seems to me that most bosses do what ever they want to accomodate themselves, and, mostly, are above having to answer to anyone..
I dont think that it is right...but, again some bosses do what ever they want and get away with it.

Kelgie,
Remember there are always other jobs out there. If this a$$hole continues his ways it might be time to find another place of employment.
