I get a funny vibe of these people, they don't contact me unless they want to give me a "discount" on settling the full amount... I have not written one test and they have not asked me about it.... their paperwork says that they are registered in england but how do I really know if they exist or not?

It is a bit suspect that they don't post a phone number on their web site. Can't you go to Potters Bar and confront them ?
