It is reported that China is illegally selling body parts.
HOWEVER
China is a signatory to the WHO accords that expressly forbids sales of body parts and taking parts without the donors written permission. This year, a Chinese national was elected Chair of that organization.
China also has made such practices against the law. Not only is it illegal to sell parts, it is also illegal to obtain parts even from condemned prisoners without written permission.
Therefore, since there are laws in place in China and an international organization that forbids such practices and has elected a Chinese citizen as Chair, wouldn't it be prudent to believe the two facts above as proof that no such thing is happening over organizations and hate groups that have an obvious axe to grind?
Why is this misinformation continually believed and reported?

If there is any illegal body part sales going on, it certainly isn't state sanctioned.
China does have one huge problem, 5,000 years of corruption. President Hu has made it a top priority to weed it out, but even with all his efforts and the threat of death over some corrupt officials, I think, in the end, Hu will have made only a minor dent.
That is one thing that the western press and the hate organizations need to start reporting. There is the truth, then their is the twisting of the truth to meet and ends.
Just look at the ex pats from Iraq who helped get us into the war through all their disinformation and outright lies.

My best defense of China, especially for people like swissarmor is to come and visit for themselves while leaving the fix it attitude, ugly Americanism and hate politics at home.

jpjpjpjpjpjp,
You really need to stop with the blanket bigotry.
I teach in China, have for the last year and not even the most ardent Japanese hater would be as ruthless as you. They have one hell of an axe to grind with your country over your countries treatment of their people during WWII. All they ask for is an apology, while your government refuses and is in denial and doesn't teach your children what really happened during the war.

The question should be... Why do so many people are so quick to dish out anti-China sentiment. From eating fetuses to selling body parts. Admittedly China has a few problems... (these made up stories not being one of them.) But it's a growing nation, one that has and is making great improvments in the quality of life for it's people over the last few years.
Another hot issue appears to be the quality control issues for food processes, why is it a conspiracy issue when it comes from China but when the US spinach growers and ground beef producers mix sh*t it's products... it's an accident.
The bigotry against China is out of control.

long story but it's not just China... but one reason is that America is always trying to stop the spread of the reds they see commies under the bed and spread this kind of stuff to make us believ they are bad peole, I dont believe it, but a lot do. ask an american what communism is they will not be able to tell you...disinformationis rife it's all about control, controlling the people even in so called free speech western countries you they spread what ever they like and call it the truth...
saw a program onthe tv about india and unscrupulous doctors there doing kidney transplants and then if the donor made a fuss or wanted more than the 2 bags of rice they got for it they would disappear...

First, China don't give a D&*nm about international rules, second almost everything that happen in China never reachs the central power. In reality China is fragmented in clusters of power. And not only China is selling body parts, but there is some reports that they harvest it on living prisoners...
Actually, for anybody that really know China, this thing is not surprising at all, and it should happen in many places...
In China laws have no enforcements, and much laws are unspoken...

People see corruption in their own communities, so it is easy to believe that corruption exists in other places, too.
It is scary to think that someone anywhere on earth could be selling body parts. People believe that it is happening because those who need transplants are on long waiting lists, and there are matters of life and death involved. Based on what we know of human nature, It is not hard to believe that someone is doing it. How can we be sure it's not happening here in our own country?

Why single out just China? If there is a way to make a dishonest buck, people will do it, regardless of what part of the world they are in.

They might be, and it wouldn't be that hard to get a condemned prisoner to sign a piece of paper. But I doubt its as wide spread as it is made out to be. Same as here I'll bet, desperate people will do desperate things.

Stop posting your propaganda.
All the things that you wrote are nothing but Chinese propaganda spread by Chinese people brain washed by their government. Just look at your question about China and communism. China is NOT a communist state? BS!
Base on what you wrote you sound like the type of foreigner who helps the Chinese government censore it's English websites. You've obviously learned everything you've learned about China while in China from Chinese who grew up on censored textbooks. You're even beginning to talk like them (have you started spitting in restaurants and cutting in line too?).
Back to your question. Yes, the Chinese are illegally selling body parts. China is a ruthless and cruel communist police state. The leaders spend all of their time torturing the fools that still live there and dream up plans of reducing us all to mindless servants of their diabolical schemes. So it is nomal for them to body parts for money.
You have become one of true Chinese, 'just plain jim'. I have waited for you to veer from this path, and
I can wait no longer. You must be stoped before you forget everything that made you an American.

Jim,
You are right about the laws. Which reminds me that there can't be an illegal immigrant problem here in America, because we have laws against illegal immigration.
