It was the reign of Queen Victoria (1838-1901) ther was a potentially dangerous European war, the Crimean War (1851-1856) alongside the Second French Empire inder Napoleon III (nephew of the Great one) and Ottoman Turkey against Tsarist Russia over the Oriental Question (Middle Est and Balkans). Also there were the Indian Mytiny (1857) plus various minor colonial wars for the expention of the British Empire. After all the scond half of the 19th century was the golden age of the European Imperialism in Asia and Africa.Internally it was the period of the so- called Victorian morality with was provoked by the rise of the midlle classes which then espoused this morality. It was also the period of great technological innovations such as electicity, telegraph and telephone.

I take it that I can dispense with American history, and stick only to British exploits and achievements?
Victoria was Queen
England participated in a number of wars, revolts and revolutions. These include:
The Crimean War, 1853 - 56
The Indian Mutiny, 1857 - 58,
The Maori War, 1860 - 61
The First Ashanti War, 1873
The Second Ashanti War, 1873 - 74
The Third Ashanti War, 1875 - 76
The Zulu War, 1879
The Sudan Wars, 1881 - 98
The Fourth Ashanti War, 1895 - 98
The Bechuanaland War, 1896 - 97
The East Africa War, 1896 - 99
The Samoan War, 1898 - 99
The Boxer Rebelion, 1899 -1900
These are the ones I can remember.
The Industrial Revolution created steam locomotion, both on land and sea. The Textile industry became the largest in the world. Canals were built so that ships could sail across England carrying goods both ways. The Sciences of Medicine and Chemistry were finally dragged out of the dark ages of the Pre-antiseptic and anesthetic Era. The English Language was spread to every corner of the known (and often, unknown) world.
Read any brief history of the period and You will see the advances that were made. Pnuematic Tyres. Internal Combustion Engines. Lighter than air, and even Heavier than air Flying Machines. The London Embankment was built. The Great exposition was held. Telegraphic cable was laid between Britain and America. Florence Nightingale recreated Nursing to became the profession it is today. Charles Babbage and Ida Lovelace created the first computer.
That should give You something to look up and study.

I think that during that time England grew opium in India and sold it to China, when some in China objected they had the 'Opium War' to keep it (England won). That is why India and Hong Kong were British controlled areas, to insure the opium trade.

riots, all of them started by means of one police officer capturing and killing a colored guy. Its is being debated to whether the colored guy had pulled out a gun on the police officer, wherein case the officer replaced into authentic to shoot. This all started a small protest interior the encircling section. It has now became to riots in london, manchester, liverpool and birmingham. they at the instant are not rioting because of the police officer anymore, yet in particular because of the fact they suspect that the poorer community at the instant are not being appeared after and respected by means of the government, yet they are going approximately it the incorrect way and smashing shops , stealing and putting hearth to homes. human beings have been killed and thousands are passing by means of courtroom on the 2d as they have been caught on cctv. theres not plenty human beings can do different than sparkling up
