Changing your mind is a sign of openness. It means that you are receptive to new ways of thinking and it shows a willingness to learn. Nobody's knowledge is perfect and one can always make mistakes even when one is quite confident that they are right.

Of course changing your mind on a whim without any reason is a different thing. This kind of thing can be very damaging to someone if they are trusting you to act in a certain way or it can be fun and light hearted - it depends a great on the circumstances and who is involved.

Being open is not a sign of weakness its a sign of strength. It means that you are willing to place your ideas and beliefs in a place where they can be questioned and perhaps changed - this takes courage.

A scared person will cling to their ideas and habits even if they are the cause of that person's misery. Unfortunately too many of us are too fearful to allow ourselves to change for the better.

It's not wrong to change one's mind, more often than not it is necessary in the process of growing up.

We get wiser everyday and change is the only constant thing in the world, and so our opinions about things change too.

It's not a sign of weakness and lack of self-discipline. It is a sign of strength that you have the guts to let the whole world know that you have come to your senses and that you're going to walk on the path which you realized is best for you. Lack of self discipline only happens when you do not adhere to the things that would help a lot in making your decision yield positive results.

It is ok to change your mind if you know very well that you're doing it for the right reasons and if the decision is not only going to be beneficial to you but also to most of the people involved in the situation.

It is not acceptable only if you keep changing your mind every hour and make drastic actions which you may regret later.

I'm in a philosophical mood now, don't you notice? lol

Have a happy sunday as well! =)

It's a womans perogative to change her mind!! I frequently change my mind about stuff and I am quite a disciplined person. The only time I try not to change it is when disciplining my daughter or any of the kids I work with, that would be a sign of weakness, in that situation you have to stick to what you say or they walk all over you.

Hope you too have a good day and week ahead.

changing mind sign

Changing your mind is a sign that you are flexible enough to change your mind. It can be irritating if you are the type of person who bends to everyone's will however. You should make up your own mind, or change it for your own reasons, although we should all be open to reason. When the crucial moment comes and a decision needs to be made, we all need to be willing to make a mistake rather than lose any opportunity to control our own destiny by defaulting to whatever happens to us.

It can be a sign of weakness in CERTAIN circumstances.

-It's a sign of weakness when you admit another person's point of view and contradict yourself only to be liked and accepted.

-It's a sign of weakness when you think your point of view is less valuable just because it comes from you, so you you prefer to follow others.

-It's a sign of weakness when you know the right path, but you give up on it just because you're too afraid of responsibility.

-It's a sign of weakness when you know you are right, but you don't dare to express it, so you just show a different opinion to the outer world.

-It's a sign of weakness when environment makes you feel like you're not good enough for its criteria, so you lie to yourself and distort the image in the mirror.

-It's NOT a sign of weakness when you do it because you are receptivity and your connection with the outer environment is strong, allowing it to influence you positively.

- It's NOT a sign of weakness when you know that an argument is pointless, and you give up because you don't want to lower yourself to the same level of the one you're arguing with. Conceding is a sign of wit.

- It's NOT a sign of weakness when you know you're not right and you admit openly it even if your ego has to suffer.

Think of a small stone surrounded by wild waves. The waves are the world, the outer influences while we're the stones. We can remain intact and unmoving under the waves or we can allow them to influence us. Remaining intact is not always a sign of strength and wit though, it can also be a sign of lack of receptivity.

Lets' suppose the waves are trying to change the stone's position, but the stone listens to its inner ego and remains stable. Some time later, a huge rock falls and crushes the stone.

But let's suppose the waves are trying to change the stone's position and the stone allows itself to be moved. Some time later a huge rock falls on the stone's spot and crushes the stone. the former spot would've been better.

So what do you do in these varying situations? It's hard to determine when you're right and when you're wrong.

A person who changes his mind all the time probably has no backbone. A person who never changes his mind probably has no heart.

Or more accurately, how can you change what you don't have?

As to when it is acceptable and when it is not, that has to be according to circumstances. I should think we would all agree that seeking for truth, for the facts, for honesty, for good moral judgment, must go on regardless of what we thought yesterday. When a better truth, a more honorable pathway makes itself known, we must change.

Critical intelligence, I reckon. It's OK when dealing with convincing new information or insight, or when some strategy hasn't worked. It's unacceptable when driven merely by unconvincing or irrational opposition - however numerous or dominant. Then what one needs is not a change of mind, but a change of strategy, and patience.

it does not always mean that you are not strong when you change your mind. It could be your wit and wisdom. It could be that you have sensed something wrong might happen and so you changed our decision and later you may find that your decisions were right. When you are firm about your belief, your thoughts , your goals, etc you mustn't change your mind even if someone or something insists you to. Just follow you conscience and you will reach your destiny .

The way I see it , is once you have made a promise you have given up the right to change your mind.
Changing your mind is a possibility when you have new information or an uneasy feeling about your decision.
