Cubic foot is a unit of volume in English unit
A simple volume is a dice of all sides = 1 foot
other example is a rectangular solid, example of sides as
. . . side1 = 2
. . . side2 = 1
. . . side3 = 1/2
volume = 2 x 1 x 1/2 = 1 cubic foot

Cubic foot is a measure of volume usually written as ft³
Example
The volume of a cuboid of dimensions:-
length 5ft
breadth 3ft
height 4 ft
is given by:-
V = 5 x 3 x 4 ft³
V = 60 ft³ = 60 cubic feet

a foot is a measurment of distance and so it is that distance to the power of 3 and you will have the answer in cubic feet.

cube is 3
square is 2
and then there is just regular
if anything is cubed it has that little 3 at the end to show that there is 3 dimensions
like length*width*height
say 2ft*3ft*8ft=48 cubic feet or 48ft3
