To take Superman literally is to miss the point.
To me the best Superman stories are the originals.
The Seigel and Schuster ones from the 1930s and 40s.
There is a "can do" FDR 30's liberal spirit behind it.
Superman involves himself in a war. ("Great Krypton, there are innocent women and children in that building they're shelling. Someone's got to save them")
Superman defeats a slumlord. Fantastic stuff.
What Seigel and Schuster seem to be saying is that inside every average Clark Kent out there is a Superman waiting to spring into action for the lost cause of an underdog!
You don't need super powers to do that! Anyone can be like that aspect of Superman.

You can become superman by being the best person that you can possibly be. Always try to do the right thing and do unto others as you would like yourself to be treated.

First, you must be born as a last ditch effort for survival for your race. You must have been born on Krypton, then hurled through space to land on Earth. Then, of course, you must overcome the difficult task of getting your Super suit tailored without looking like a complete moron.

My advice is go jump off a really tall building, see if you can fly and when you go splat on the ground you will be dead and that is better then being superman.plus superman is pretty lame anyway he has a gay outfit,and nothingg can stop him oh yeah unless you have a little green rock then he is completely useless. yeah some superhero he is.
