I know most are sick of hearing about her, so sorry, but in reading some of these questions I can't believe people feel sorry for her. She broke the law, then thought she was above the law and could do what she wanted, then thought her status could get her out of her punishment. Please explain why anyone would feel sorry for her.

swan...it wasn't any act of repenting. It was an "OMG, I can't buy my way out of this" panic.

The only people who would feel sorry for Paris would be her equally rich, spoilt and brainless contemporaries, who have also recently been on the wrong side of the law for driving offences; please stand up Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan. They must be really worried that if rich 'little girl lost' Paris can be incarcerated then what's to stop them from doing time.

I think it was right that Paris should serve her sentence without preferential treatment, particularly as she appeared to show no remorse for her crime leading up to her imprisonment and any attempts she made to seem remorseful came across as an insincere attempt to court public sympathy.

I hope that Paris and her fellow celebrities who only seem to have a talent for not doing very much learn a lesson from this: that they are not above the law no matter how rich or famous they are and that they will receive the same justice that the average person in their situation would receive.

Yes. We have all kind to make the world go around. They have a right to have empathy or sympathy for the young lady.
Do you not think she has some absolute nit wits leading her case? She should had found an attorney who knew the inside track. The media attention should had been diminished and a driver assigned once she was on probation- like it or not. Protective and preventative modus operandi.
I wonder how important her role was in getting her out of jail- she has parents. Think who was the Oh Wise One who declared she did not have to go to court and she could give her deposition over the phone? Apparently the judge heard this en route to the court house. Oh Happy Day/ Bridge Over Troubled Water. If she was so distraught why was her family not with her and why did not a family member or a friend drive her to court? The ride would not been in handcuffs.
Again what responsible adult under -currented the judge? Twice late to court for the same judge, did not anyone teach her any perimeters in a simple life?
All of this for a female with nothing to offer until she stayed in the news so long she became a news worthy judicial icon. Now she has fame value momentarily but she is trying to extend it by offereing to not appeal the forty five days and doing her time life others. Within hours she her life rides like the Scrambler, then a Screaming Demon, and now she is simply on a Merry-Go-Round with medication support.

Looking at the panoramic view it is sad and pitiful. However maybe several good things can come out of this- maybe her dad can build another jail for the city, furnish it with heavier blankets, pillows and try to surround his daughters with outstanding spiritual advisors before it is too late.

I guess most people feel sympathy for her because she comes across as this spoiled little girl that doesn't know any better when in actuality this a grown woman a few years short of 30. She should be counting her blessings that she was only sentenced to 45 days, it should have been a lot more in my opinion. Her and her "BFF's" are setting a horrible example for their so called fans. I hope that from this she realizes that there are just some things money can't buy!

I feel sorry for her. I think she deserves another chance. I think a suspended sentence, and genuinely changing her life around would have been more appropriate. Just because she is rich should not mean she has to be made an example of. Driving while on the phone and when tired is just as dangerous. Free Paris or lets send everyone who does that to jail as well. You know who you are!

I do kinda feel sorry for her. Here is a young lady that had everything handed to her and she absolutely shyit on it. She had the potential to be a truly beautiful person by using her "celebrity" status to help people. Instead she's thrown away everything that her family has worked to give her all because she couldn't get herself together. What a waste.

I feel sorry for her in more ways then one.....

Not because of the predicament she is in however for the way she has chose to live her life....sad to have all that she has and be so oblivious to life itself. Looking at all whom she is involved with and it seems like they come spiraling down too...drugs, booze, porn, weight issues, trouble with the law.... total Fiasco's

Its okay to enjoy life however to ruin or hurt others well...I may not have the money she does however I am living a lot better life then she and happy about it too.

So Yes I feel sorry for her.

i've got self belief sorry that she replaced into pronounced to be a brat. yet she is an person now and responsible for her own strikes; or could be. i don't sense somewhat sorry for her in any respect. She desires to be in penitentiary now and desires to be in a real penitentiary in the easy area with all the different criminals. She endangered a great form of lives.

because they chose to live their sad excuse for an existence of life thru her. if their "princess" is condemned there is NO HOPE for them. I believe, fortunately that they are NOT the majority. This whole scandal will be a joke soon just like OJ Simpson, was. we can only hope.

No offense ,but why should I feel sorry for her? It's not like if I broke my leg or in her case went to jail she would feel sorry for me!

I can't imagine anyone feeling sorry for her. Unless they're just one of these Hollywood groupies, and think none of them do wrong.

She's a criminal, just like anyone who gets arrested and convicted of a crime. And she deserves to do ALL of her time, not just part of it. Just like anyone else.
