Praying in itself would have nothing to do with nightmares. I guess when you had nightmares maybe you were worried about something in your life and prayed about it. Then when you went to sleep your worries would come out in the form of dreams. I think it would be more likely the other way around, like a kid who was told to say their prayers before bedtime and did not, then got scared God would be mad at them. Know God loves you and try and pray again. Maybe ask him to help you not have the bad dreams, or just realize the dreams are just your mind dealing with things in your life and trying to make sense of them.

I always have a prayer on my lips as I have an intimate relationship with God. I look to Him for wisdom and guidance every day, including at bedtime. Prayer is as simple and endearing as talking to a parent, a family member or a friend. I find comfort in prayer, and I practice it frequently. Thank you for asking.

I pray all the time. . . and before bedtime. By the way, it is very important to pray for yourself -- God wants us to communicate to him openly, you can ask and say anything to Him. It's o.k. to ask for something personal, remember He is the One who created everything so really everything comes from God. By all means, (please) do not think praying for yourself is selfish -- you should consider it a requirement.

I do, but not really to God. I pray more to my family who have died. We belive that your family that's passed on watches over you, (Kinda like angels) and if you need help to ask them for guidence and wisdom.
