To see better in three dimension. You will notice that animals that live in trees a lot and swing from one tree to another there eyes are located in the front of the face as ours do. Since these animals need to see the next tree branch to swing to it is necessary that they have good depth perception. Since we are bipedal and use our hands to lot, we too need the advantage of this depth perception,. Animals that have their eyes farther to the rear do not the depth perception that primates need.

Because the we need to see in front what is coming up. If we always looked at the past we would be hurting all the time. God wants us to look and go forward not to live in the past as that is where most of our mistakes are and thankfully Jesus took those to the Cross with Him. So we do not have to deal with them anymore. We can be forgiven.

Well then everything would be backwards and you would have to guess where you were walking and where your arms and hands are touching etc. OR the "back" would be our front because we rely greatly on visual information so technically your eyes would still be in your front.

I guess I feel differently. As a Mother I feel I have eyes in front and eyes in the back of my head. They always claim that a Mother can see from the back of their head. Also God created us to be beautiful people and everything has a purpose. Be thankful that we are fortunate to live and to live happily.

because, due to natural selection, humans were strictly predators when we were more ape-like hundreds of thousands of years ago. Now were are omnivorous so it is a leftover of our ape-like relatives. Predators all have eyes front. Note the fox, cougar, owl etc. Prey have eyes on the sides of their head to see the predators. Note the turkey, rabbit, squirrel etc.
