I will star interesting questions. When I see that a very large number of people have answered the question, I will read the answers to see if there is anything that I may add to the info. If not, I will enjoy the Q&A's and leave a BIG STAR in appreciation! Are u unconfused now? LOL

Yes. I do it often. Sometimes I don't have a good answer to the question, but want to let the asker know that I think it is a good question. Sometimes I have met my answer quota for the day so the only way I have to communicate is through a star. It also shows up on my contacts pages as a question that I have starred and maybe they will be more valuable than myself in answering said question. And, FINALLY, if I want to keep an eye on the incoming answers just out of curiosity, it appears on "My Starred Questions" tab. Hope this answer was enlightening. :)

Yes, I have starred questions that I didn't answer. Mainly because I thought it was a really good question. The reason I didn't answer is because I saw an answer that I thought was excellent, and nothing more needed said.

If there has already been alot of great answers to a question - I will star it if it's a good or interesting question even though I personally haven't answered

I have given sometimes a star to a question I have not answered.

This is because the answer I would give had already be given and nevertheless the question was really interesting. So I felt like giving the star.

Yes. And i do it to, because instead of asking the same question again i'll wait to see what they have for the answers. Because if you star something doesn't mean you have to answer it. It means its an interesting question.

If somebody else finds the question interesting (or simply wants to find out the answer to the same question), they can star it. It is then added to their "star list", a tab right next to the "watch list" tab.

Yes! I have done it myself. I will give you some of the reasons. One reason is that I may want to come back, and answer it later, and sometimes I just forget to go back. Another reason is that there might be an answer that I want to save, or someone has posted some links that I want to look at later. And sometimes, I might just want to think about it more, before I answer, and then I sometimes forget to go back. *sm*
