Hi, I'd like to use my laptop screen only (Dell inspiron 6000 with windows XP) for a pc stack.
Do I need special cables and to follow a special procedure?

I would use VNC.
Its works just fine for me and is free to use.

Yep it can be done but be prepared to have several goes before it works, patience is all you need.
