CMOS battery (a lithium coin-type battery) on mainboard is dead. Replace it, then set your CMOS one MORE time, and it should keep.

Like everyone is saying it is more than likely your CMOS battery. When you open up your pc it will look like a watch battery. The pop out fairly easily, but you may have to move some stuff around to get to it. Once removed go to the store and buy a new one. Once you put the new one in you should be fine. I am concerned that it appears that your pc is fairly new, since it is only going back to 2004 - I usually do not see batteries go out so soon. When they do it sometimes means a motherboard problem. I had a pc once that needed a new battery every three months or so. I got tired of replacing the battery - so I just dealt with it never knowing what day it was.

Your cmos battery has died. You will have to open the case and remove the battery from the motherboard and replace it. If you are not sure how to do this take it to a local computer shop and have them show you how. It takes less time to change the battery than it takes to open the case.
Hope this helps, Roy
