During the 2004 presidential elections, the Democratic Party staged the second largest attack on a third party candidate in U.S. history. The largest ever also carried out by the Democratic Party was the assault of the Communist Party in the early 1900s when they used bombs to blow up some of their offices.

In 2004, they spent close to $20 million to prevent ballot access to the Nader/Camejo presidential ticket. They hired various corporate law firms to file phony lawsuits to remove Nader/Camejo from the ballots. One of the law firms they hired was the law firm of Kenneth Starr. GM also donated two lawyers to help in their efforts. One of the leaders of this attack was former Nader Raider, Toby Moffet, who now works for a Republican lobbying firm.

They spent more time attacking the principles of Democracy and rigging the system to their advantage rather than respecting it. They certainly are political cowards out on the playing field.

You forgot to mention that the KKK was the enforcement arm of the Democratic party for almost a century. After the Civil War blacks in the south were overwhelmingly Republican. The KKK was formed to keep them from voting and for most of its existence the local Democratic party leaders in the south were also the KKK leaders. Look at the civil rights movement, the politicians behind the fire-hoses, clubs and police dogs turned on the marchers were 100% Democrats, as were the police chiefs and judges who protected lynch mobs and Klan murderers.
Perhaps that's why their partisan bloggers flood the Internet with the thoroughly disproven claims about the vote count in Florida, to hide the facts about which party has the greatest history of election fraud.

I'll go along with that. When they loose they even cry that the Republicans stole the election. Such as 2000 in Florida where all the votes were counted a dozen times and still G.W. came out the winner after each count. They were the ones that didn't want the military vote to count in both 2000 and 2004. They don't like it when they loose. And they will cheat to win such as when L.B.J. was elected. Over a million dead people voted for L.B.J. and how about the election in Washington state when they found a box of ballots in a locked store room just so the Democrat could win. That happen on the fourth recount.

It's all politics!!! Both parties know how to play dirty. For example the questioner seems to forget that the 20 million dollars spent was because the republicans pushed to have nader/camejo put on the ballot after the deadline. So how much was spent on lawyers fees from the republican side to get them on the ballot after the deadline. Why bother with a deadlines if one can just turn around and change it?

both the democratic and republican parties are guilty of similiar events like the votes not counting in Florida and your brother being governor but all is above board so in the scenerio should the republican party be called the Moral party? The only party that does represent the interests of the american citizen is the independent party but for one of them to get elected would mean they would have to have the blessings of the large corporations and that will not happen

Yes, and they should also be called the, "Demon"cratic party! Let's not forget about the Republi"can't" party! Let's also consider the roll of the KKK - "Knights of the Burning Cross." =<)
