It is because of casein(~80%) and whey protein present in the milk.

Milk has calcium, lactose, and fats in it. The fats are unsaturated and the combination of all of these make the milk white. It is just a chemical reaction. They all bind together and make a white color. Hope that helps. A Guernsey cow has yellow milk because it has a lot of Beta carotene. It is higher fat so it is a different reaction, so it is yellow.

actually did ya know they can squeeze the cows **** so hard they bleed a little and the last portion of milk can be pink , and they use the blood-tinged pink milk for chocolate milk.
